Raytron OEM Unveils Advanced Infrared Imaging Solutions for Industrial Automation at VISION 2026

Raytron OEM Introduces Infrared Imaging Solutions at VISION 2026

From October 6 to 8, 2026, Raytron OEM revealed their latest advancements in infrared imaging technology during the VISION 2026 trade fair held at Messe Stuttgart. The focus was on short-wave infrared (SWIR) cameras and long-wave infrared (LWIR) thermal imaging modules, designed specifically for improving industrial automation and machine vision.

At the event, guests could witness firsthand demonstrations of SWIR technology that allowed for distinct differentiation between sugar and salt, as well as comparisons of dry and moist cookie samples. This effectively illustrated the various applications of SWIR technology in material differentiation, food classification, and moisture detection.

Among the highlighted products was the SWIR camera NS-615AS-10GE, boasting a resolution of 640 x 512 pixels coupled with a high-speed 10GigE interface, capable of full-frame operation at up to 825 frames per second. This high-speed imaging capability is crucial for applications such as semiconductor inspection and material sorting. Alongside this model, the NS-615A-GE area scan SWIR camera and the NS-101L2 linear scan SWIR camera were showcased as well, providing diverse acquisition formats and interface options for various automation configurations.

For clients looking to integrate thermal imaging into their products, Raytron introduced the SE5 1280 thermal imaging module, featuring a resolution of 1280 x 1024 and compact design with multiple digital interfaces. Complementary to its imaging capabilities, the WN2T series of temperature measurement modules offer non-contact temperature measurements, compact dimensions, and energy efficiency, presenting reliable options for OEM developers aiming to incorporate thermal imaging and temperature analytics into industrial monitoring and inspection equipment.

On October 8, Fushuai Liu, Raytron's Director for Europe and America, delivered a presentation on "How Infrared Perception is Transforming Industrial Machine Vision in Europe" during the Industrial VISION Days. Building upon Raytron's White Paper concerning thermal safety of lithium-ion batteries for electric vehicles, Liu examined the safety of batteries, process quality, and traceability, particularly within the context of the European Battery Regulation.

In his talk, Liu illustrated a three-tier thermal vision framework that integrates thermal imaging hardware, data analysis and management, along with seamless incorporation into existing plant control and safety systems. Among the applications discussed were the ultra-high temperature thermal camera TN460U for battery safety testing and in-line thermal cameras TN430/TN460 for monitoring the temperature of die-casting molds. This strategic approach enables continuous monitoring, tiered alert notifications, and traceable thermal records during battery production, testing, and storage processes, assisting European manufacturers in proactively identifying potential issues while enhancing on-site safety management.

Raytron OEM's commitment to bolstering industrial automation across Europe with tailored infrared solutions was reaffirmed through various product demonstrations and technical exchanges throughout the event. The company showcased its dedication to meeting the localized inspection and tracking requirements that modern manufacturing demands.
