Course Overview

The purpose of this course was to equip local sole proprietors and aspiring entrepreneurs with fundamental bookkeeping skills. Spanning from September to October, the program included a total of 20 sessions, covering core principles of bookkeeping.

Participants learned about crucial elements such as the structure of balance sheets and income statements, along with practical approaches to year-end financial adjustments. Masaki Ota was responsible for delivering the final four sessions, which occurred on October 10, 15, 17, and 20. The focus of the lectures included practical topics like 'Prepaid and Accrued Expenses' and 'Year-End Adjustments for Consumption and Corporate Taxes,' directly applicable to the businesses run by the attendees.

Throughout the closing ceremony, certificates of completion were awarded to participants who expressed excitement about the newfound skills they gained. Many shared positive feedback, stating, 'I can now read numbers' and 'I understand financial statements better than before.'
