BIM/CIM Skills Development Seminar Scheduled for February 2026: A Game Changer for the Construction Industry

Overview of the BIM/CIM Skills Development Seminar

On February 7, 2026, Persol Tempstaff Inc., a leader in staffing and outsourcing, will collaborate with the Civil Users Group to hold a comprehensive seminar aimed at nurturing individuals aspiring to become BIM/CIM professionals. This initiative comes at a pivotal time as the Japanese Ministry of Land, Infrastructure, Transport and Tourism prepares to introduce the practical use of 3D models as contract documents in the construction industry, marking a significant shift in the roles of BIM/CIM technologies.

Importance of 3D Models in Contract Documentation

Starting June 2025, approximately 100 construction projects nationwide are set to integrate 3D models as formal contract documents, according to the Ministry’s strategic plans. This transition is expected to substantially enhance the accuracy of design reviews and construction management, improve transparency in contracts, and reduce project revisions. However, this evolution requires the construction workforce to upgrade their skills to manage model integrity, coordinate estimates, and establish accountability in the use of these 3D models. As the digitalization and efficiency of all processes from design to execution become paramount, there is an urgent need for a skilled workforce equipped to navigate this new landscape.

Seminar Details

The seminar, slated from 1:00 PM to 3:00 PM, will not only cover essential knowledge and skills required for effectively utilizing 3D models as contract documents but will also highlight the latest trends in the industry. Participants will be able to engage directly with experts and get insights into the future of BIM/CIM. The event will be hosted at the Persol Tempstaff Shibuya office and will also be accessible online, allowing up to 500 online registrants.
