Tsukuba University Women's Lacrosse Team Launches Crowdfunding for Division Promotion

Tsukuba University Women's Lacrosse Team Fundraising Campaign

Starting March 16th, the Tsukuba University Women’s Lacrosse Team is excited to announce the launch of a crowdfunding project titled “Towards Division Promotion and Beyond.” This initiative aims to raise funds for team enhancement, travel expenses, and essential gear for incoming members, with a target amount of 800,000 yen.

As part of this fundraising effort, Spportunity Inc., a company dedicated to supporting teams and athletes through specialized sports crowdfunding, is facilitating the campaign. The funds collected will contribute significantly to overcoming barriers the team faces, notably the long-desired goal of promoting to the second division.

A Strong Appeal from an Alumnus

In a heartfelt message, alumnus and current coach, Takeda, expressed her sentiments, saying:
“I deeply appreciate the ongoing support for our team. Our aim to achieve ‘promotion to the second division’ is a dream that we are tackling head-on through this crowdfunding effort. Seven years have passed since I graduated, yet the memories of the joy and challenges I experienced in this team remain vivid. Seeing our current squad striving towards what we could not achieve fills me with pride.”

The passion and drive of the current players are palpable, as they aim to surpass the hurdles faced by past generations. Takeda emphasized how the spirit of camaraderie and the determination to break through the second division barrier resonate strongly within the team.
