Kaiser Permanente Expands Healthcare Access in Northern Nevada with New Medical Offices
Kaiser Permanente Expands Healthcare in Northern Nevada
Kaiser Permanente, a leading not-for-profit healthcare provider, has recently initiated its expansion into northern Nevada by opening its first two medical offices in the region. Located in Reno and Sparks, these are part of a strategic joint venture with Renown Health aimed at increasing access to affordable healthcare for local residents. This move marks a significant milestone for the organization, which has been recognized for its commitment to providing high-quality medical services across the United States.
The newly opened medical offices, namely the Del Monte Medical Offices and the Ion Medical Offices, will feature comprehensive healthcare services, including primary care, laboratory services, pharmacy, and imaging, enhancing convenience for patients. The establishment of these facilities signifies a concerted effort to deliver integrated care, which has been shown to lead to better health outcomes for patients compared to traditional healthcare models.
Trish Rodriguez, regional president for Kaiser Permanente in Nevada, emphasized the organization's mission to bring proven healthcare solutions that result in improved health outcomes while simultaneously lowering costs for patients. “We’re moving into Nevada to partner with Renown Health to expand the reach of our integrated care and coverage to more people,” Rodriguez stated.
In addition to offering primary care, patients will continue to benefit from a wide array of high-quality hospital services provided by Renown Health, ensuring that they receive comprehensive care tailored to their individual needs. Dr. Mark Roberts, the executive medical director for Kaiser Permanente in Nevada, highlighted the benefits of their integrated approach—combining local expertise with coordinated healthcare services that allow patients to easily navigate their healthcare options.
With the launch of these medical facilities, Kaiser Permanente is aiming to address the growing demand for integrated care in northern Nevada. According to health plan leader Bethany Sexton, residents are increasingly seeking stability, value, and improved health outcomes: “Kaiser Permanente's integrated model aligns coverage and care to ensure affordability while supporting healthier communities across northern Nevada.”
The two newly opened offices are equipped with various patient-centered services. The Del Monte Medical Offices in Reno include 15 examination rooms and are now fully operational for primary care and lab services. Similarly, the Ion Medical Offices in Sparks offer 13 examination rooms, providing immediate access to primary care and laboratory services, with pharmacy and imaging facilities expected to be available in the near future. Both locations will be accessible Monday through Friday from 7 a.m. to 5 p.m., with free on-site parking available for patients.
Moreover, the forthcoming third location in central Reno is anticipated to begin serving the community by late 2026 as part of Kaiser Permanente's continued expansion efforts in the area. With open enrollment approaching in fall 2026 for the 2027 plan year, residents of northern Nevada will soon have the opportunity to choose from an array of Kaiser Permanente's new health plan options—further enhancing their access to integrated healthcare solutions.
Kaiser Permanente has long been synonymous with quality healthcare in the United States since its inception in 1945. Today, it serves over 12.9 million members across nine states and the District of Columbia. Its mission is to improve the health of members and the communities they serve, with a focus on total health and well-being through coordinated efforts between various healthcare professionals.
As Kaiser Permanente continues to establish its presence in northern Nevada, residents can look forward to an innovative and comprehensive healthcare experience tailored to meet their unique needs.
