Kaiser Permanente Expands Everett Medical Center
Kaiser Permanente has proudly announced the opening of its newly expanded Everett Medical Center, located at 2929 Pine St., Everett, WA 98201. This expansion enhances accessibility, providing a broader range of high-quality medical services and specialties to its members, effective from June 3, 2025.
In the words of Dr. Linda Tolbert, the executive medical director and CEO for Kaiser Permanente in Washington, "The expansion of our Everett Medical Center brings a broader range of services to Snohomish County. With more centrally located specialties and advanced imaging services like MRI and CT scans, all under one roof, Kaiser Permanente members can enjoy improved access to high-quality care."
The Everett Medical Center now offers primary care and pediatric services alongside a variety of specialty departments, including cardiology, urology, orthopedics, sports medicine, gynecology, nephrology, and mental health care. The recent expansion introduces six additional specialty care departments: dermatology, endocrinology, podiatry, neurology, gastroenterology, and rheumatology, thus enhancing the variety of medical services available to patients in the region.
Angela Dowling, the regional president for Kaiser Permanente in Washington, emphasized the importance of this expansion, stating, "Everett is a wonderfully vibrant community that has undergone tremendous growth over the past several years. We're delighted to be part of this development, and the expanded medical center facilitates more accessible healthcare options for local residents."
The new facilities also boast advanced imaging and diagnostic services such as MRI, CT, ultrasound, X-ray, mammography, and bone density testing, designed to provide comprehensive care. Additionally, a redesigned pharmacy offers in-person services along with convenient self-serve lockers for prescription pickups, further enhancing the patient experience.
Dr. Adam Jonas, an internal medicine physician and district medical director for Kaiser Permanente in Snohomish County, shared insights about the patient journey within the revamped facilities: "This medical center was built to meet the needs of Everett and the surrounding communities. With technology that fosters real-time collaboration among care teams and a streamlined check-in process, our patients can expect a smoother and more seamless interaction with our healthcare services."
Kaiser Permanente’s integrated model covers total health, utilizing a team-based approach where doctors and clinical staff cooperate to deliver personalized care. Members can easily access a variety of care options, including in-person visits and around-the-clock virtual consultations.
The Everett Medical Center's strategic location off Interstate 5, also accessible via public transportation, underscores its commitment to enhancing healthcare access for the community.
