In a groundbreaking achievement, Florida Atlantic University (FAU) has been recognized by U.S. News & World Report as a Top 100 Public University for the first time, securing the esteemed 100th position on its 2026 list of best universities. This upward movement from the previous year, where FAU ranked 103rd, marks a significant milestone for the institution, reflecting its commitment to academic quality and student success.

FAU President Adam Hasner expressed his pride in this accomplishment, emphasizing the dedication and hard work of students, alumni, faculty, staff, and the broader community. Alongside securing a spot in the Top 100, FAU also improved its position in the Social Mobility category, now ranking 30th, up from 32nd last year. The Social Mobility ranking, calculated based on graduation rates of first-generation college students and those receiving Pell grants, showcases the university's commitment to providing accessible education for all. This is one of FAU's highest individual rankings, affirming its status as a leader in fostering educational opportunities for underrepresented students.

Furthermore, Florida Atlantic University stands out in Pell Grant Graduation Performance, ranking 25th nationally. This accolade highlights how well the university supports student achievement and reduces barriers to education for those who need it most. FAU's overall performance has been recognized broadly, as it has climbed to 183rd place among Top National Schools, improving from the previous year's 189th position.
