Introduction

ADK Marketing Solutions, headquartered in Tokyo, has conducted an extensive study in collaboration with ADK Emotions, targeting approximately 23,000 individuals across five markets: Japan, North America, China, Thailand, and Indonesia. This research culminated in the release of the "Global IP Power Survey 2026 Report," which offers a valuable insight into the prevalence and diversity of intellectual property (IP) experiences worldwide. Recognizing that IP has become a staple form of entertainment across the globe, the study sheds light on the varying ways people in different countries engage with their favorite characters and stories.

- Top IP Rankings: An analysis of the top 20 favorite IPs in each country illustrates Japan's dominance, with its creations taking a leading position in Japan (90%) and Thailand (80%). Furthermore, over half of the top IPs in the U.S., China, and Indonesia are also of Japanese origin, suggesting a global appreciation for Japanese IP.
