The ATIBA×VANS Event: A Celebration of Skateboarding Culture in Tokyo

Vans, the iconic action sports footwear and apparel brand, is launching the second installment of the "United Through Skateboarding" collection created in partnership with renowned photographer Atiba Jefferson on October 17, 2025. To honor the release, a two-day event will take place in Tokyo, showcasing the deep connections formed through skateboarding.

On the evening of October 16, from 18:00 to 22:00, the event will kick off at TRUNK(HOTEL) CAT STREET in Shibuya. Attendees will have the chance to view an exclusive exhibition of photography by Atiba Jefferson alongside special displays dedicated to the United Through Skateboarding collection. The evening will be further enlivened by live performances from Eiko Ishibashi and Jim O'Rourke, as well as DJ sets by Atiba Jefferson himself, Kunichi Nomura, Katoman, and Mia Kitora Howe.

On the following day, October 17, from 18:00 to 21:00, the excitement continues at MORTAR TOKYO, where a mini skate session will be open to everyone. Participants can engage in friendly competition during a best trick contest, with cash prizes at stake. There’s no entry fee or advance registration needed, making it accessible for all skateboarding enthusiasts. Additionally, guests who purchase items from the collection on the day of the event will receive an exclusive Vans fingerboard as a special gift.

The "United Through Skateboarding" collection emphasizes the sense of community and creativity that skateboarding fosters. The first drop of the collection was released on September 26, 2025, and this second drop on October 17, will further explore the collaboration’s artistry and style.
