Envision Energy Accelerates Global Wind Technology Development with DNV Certification

Envision Energy Paves the Way for Wind Technology

Envision Energy, renowned as a leading entity in green technology, has recently achieved a significant milestone by securing type certification for its TG Pro wind turbine (EN-206/8.35 60 Hz) from DNV. This notable accomplishment not only highlights the company’s innovation in wind energy but also serves as an independent validation of the turbine’s technical maturity, enabling a readiness for market introduction.

The certification was officially presented during the WindEnergy Hamburg 2026 event by Mette Redanz, Vice President of Renewable Energy Certification at DNV, alongside Yiming Lou, Senior Vice President and Product Director at Envision Energy. Their collaboration underscores the value of independent validation and cooperation among stakeholders in evolving advanced wind energy technologies.

Since its market introduction in 2024, the TG Pro turbine has garnered extensive orders both domestically in China and on international fronts. It has undergone comprehensive validation, including testing phases in prototype conditions and through commercial scenarios. Built on Envision's cutting-edge TG Pro platform, this turbine integrates a highly efficient architecture with optimized aerodynamic designs and intelligent control technologies, significantly enhancing wind energy utilization and production efficiency across varied wind environments.

Designing for Durability

The TG Pro platform is engineered to ensure long-lasting reliability, equipped with reinforced critical components and solutions tailored to withstand demanding operational conditions. The validation process included component testing, simulations utilizing digital twins, and field operations across multiple locations, along with commercial deployments that provided a robust foundation for assessing the turbine's performance and reliability.

As noted by Yiming Lou, the continuous evolution of Envision's next-generation turbine portfolio hinges upon rigorous validation and real-world application: “The DNV certification of TG Pro serves as further confirmation of the platform’s maturity and its capabilities to cater to customers across diverse international markets.” He emphasizes that as renewable energy power systems expand, Envision is poised to enhance intelligent, high-performance, and reliable turbine technologies for future energy systems.

The significance of independent certification also lies in fostering trust in wind turbine technologies. It aids manufacturers, developers, and various stakeholders to assess the performance, reliability, and compliance of new turbine platforms with prevailing regulatory requirements. Mette Redanz underlined that DNV is proud to support Envision in validating the TG Pro.

At the WindEnergy Hamburg 2026 event, Envision also showcased its broader portfolio of wind turbines. The EN-156/5.0 MW platform received a temporary type certificate from Bureau Veritas, with the certification process completed in less than five months. This swift action provided an independent evaluation of the design and technical capabilities of the platform, gearing it for wider commercial deployment.

Designed specifically for the Asia-Pacific region, the EN-156/5.0 MW turbine is now being deployed in the Manar wind energy platform in Sri Lanka. This marks Envision's inaugural order for wind turbines involved in public utility investments in the country. The turbine stands at 110 meters tall and features enhanced anti-corrosion protection, aimed at meeting the challenging conditions prevalent in coastal areas characterized by high salinity and humidity.

The combination of international certification and the real-time investment highlight that reliability and adaptability to environmental conditions were paramount in the platform's design. This ensures suitability for deployment in Sri Lanka and other regional markets.

Both certification achievements reinforce Envision’s unwavering commitment to stringent engineering standards, independent validation, and product development tailored to meet specific market needs. Through partnerships with prominent international certification entities and collaborations with clients across various markets, Envision continues to innovate wind turbine technologies that embody performance, reliability, and adaptability to the evolving global energy landscape.
