Huasun Energy Celebrates 10 GW Global HJT Solar Shipments and Enters New Era

Huasun Energy's Remarkable Achievement in Solar Technology

Huasun Energy has recently celebrated a major milestone by surpassing 10 gigawatts (GW) of cumulative global shipments of its heterojunction (HJT) solar products. This significant achievement is a testament to the company's strategic vision and technological excellence in the realm of solar energy.

Founded in 2020, Huasun has rapidly established itself as an innovator in the solar energy sector, spearheading advancements in HJT technology. In 2024 alone, the company delivered an impressive 6 GW of HJT products, contributing to its ambitious goal of making HJT a primary energy source for the future. Notably, over 1 GW of this total was shipped just in December, underscoring the increasing importance of HJT technology in the solar energy landscape.

Huasun’s Chairman and CEO, Xiaohua (Jimmy) Xu, expressed confidence in the company's trajectory, stating, "The achievement of surpassing 10 GW is a proof of our strategic vision and technological excellence. We are optimistic about achieving the next 10 GW milestone swiftly, harnessing the potential of heterojunction technology to expedite the journey of photovoltaics toward becoming a primary energy source."

The cornerstone of Huasun's success lies in its innovative approach, with over 300 patents registered in areas such as monocrystalline cells, HBC (Heterojunction with Back Contact), copper busbars, and HJT-perovskite tandem technologies. This extensive portfolio allows Huasun to push the boundaries of photovoltaic efficiency and industrial progress continuously.

Central to Huasun's achievement is its robust manufacturing capability. The company's 20 GW HJT Monocrystalline Silicon Smart Factory, located in Yinchuan, China, marked a significant milestone on December 31, 2024, when it produced its first silicon rod. This event symbolized the complete integration of the HJT supply chain, facilitating production from silicon blocks and wafers all the way to cells and modules.

With five production facilities spanning Xuancheng, Dali, Hefei, Wuxi, and Yinchuan, Huasun is making strides in the large-scale application of HJT technology. In 2024, the company secured over 10 GW in contracts from leading Chinese state-owned enterprises, including China Huaneng and PowerChina, demonstrating strong demand for its cutting-edge products.

Today, Huasun's products are powering solar projects across more than 60 countries and regions. With a commitment to promote a sustainable, low-carbon future, the company's advancements in HJT technology are pivotal in the global transition to renewable energy.
