A Day to Remember: The Kizuna Festival

The Kizuna Festival took place on August 29, 2025, at Ukima Kizuna Second Preschool and Ukima Kizuna Preschool, creating a vibrant and joyful atmosphere for families. In a shift from previous years, this year's event included parents, allowing for quality time spent between parents and children in a special celebration of community and togetherness.

Exciting Booths and Activities

Slime-Making Corner

At the Slime-making booth, children eagerly mixed colorful ingredients. Each mix prompted curious expressions as they wondered how their slime would turn out. The tactile experience brought exciting squishy joy as each child created their unique slime, eagerly looking forward to bringing their creations home.

Yo-Yo Fishing

Focused and determined, children aimed to fish colorful yo-yos that floated on water. Their faces lit up with joy upon catching their favorite colors, accompanied by enthusiastic exclamations of wanting to try again, echoing throughout the area.

Mask Booth

In the Mask booth, children joyfully chose their favorite character masks. Once on, the masks instantly lifted their spirits, prompting delighted shouts as they paraded through the festival grounds, excitedly showing off their choices to everyone.

Ring Toss

With handmade targets set up, children called out “Here it goes!” as they hurled rings with determination. The proud smiles that followed every successful toss, paired with enthusiastic cries of “One more time!” showcased the fun that radiated through the event.

Goldfish Scooping

Children gazed intently at the goldfish toys with serious expressions while maneuvering their scoops. Each successful catch was met with cheers and laughter, embodying the lively spirit of a summer festival.

Photo Spot

Families cherished moments together at the official photo spot, capturing festive smiles in pictures that would last a lifetime. The area was buzzing with joy as everyone snapped “Instagram-worthy” photos to commemorate the day.

Food Stall Corner

The food stall area burst with excitement where children indulged in delicious delights like yakisoba and fries. The joyful chatter among teachers, friends, and parents highlighted the festive atmosphere as everyone enjoyed their meals.

After the event, an overwhelming 95% of the parents expressed they thoroughly enjoyed the festival, sharing heartwarming feedback:

• - “Thank you for all the preparation! My child was initially puzzled by the different preschool environment but ended up having a great time! We also enjoyed slime and goldfish scooping at home afterward.”

Director Nakamura’s Comments

“The festival this year was a wonderful occasion for families to participate alongside children.
