Nishihira Shuzo, a proud distillery located in Amami Oshima, is commemorating its 98th anniversary with a vibrant pop-up store at GINZA SIX in Tokyo, starting June 4 and running until June 30. This grand event showcases their celebrated black sugar shochu, including the much-talked-about SANGO, which was newly renovated last year. Not only will customers have the opportunity to enjoy their classic products, but they will also be treated to the debut of a new herbal liqueur named 'AME -Harmony-', made with three types of locally sourced Amami herbs.

The highlight of the pop-up is dubbed the “Nishihira Shuzo Tokyo Incursion Operation!” which involves several exciting activities designed to introduce more people to the joy of drinking black sugar shochu. This includes the pop-up store, an engaging tasting event, and a stamp rally that invites participants to explore ten selected restaurants across Tokyo.

Event Overview

Operation 1: Pop-Up Store

The Nishihira Shuzo pop-up store will feature a wide range of black sugar shochu variations, from staple favorites to rare vintage labels. The central theme for this pop-up is “casual drinking,” and there will even be tasting sessions for customers to try out various offerings.

Operation 2: Tasting Event

In collaboration with KOKUTO SHOCHU CLUB, Nishihira Shuzo will host a tasting event where attendees can sample black sugar shochu across beginner, intermediate, and advanced levels. It’s a great chance to discover which varieties are perfect for at-home enjoyment.

Operation 3: SANGO Stamp Rally

Throughout the pop-up period, there will be a stamp rally that encourages participants to visit ten selected restaurants in Tokyo while using GINZA SIX as a central hub. Participants who collect stamps will have a chance to win fantastic prizes!
