Discover the Innovations of Wind Power at TODA Creative Lab's New Exhibition

Explore the Wind: An Insightful Exhibition at TODA Creative Lab

TODA Construction Co., Ltd., based in Chuo, Tokyo, is excited to announce the renewal of its exhibition, "Creating the Wind," set to open on July 1, 2026, at multiple locations within the TODA Creative Lab, affectionately known as "TODAtte?". This inventive exhibition will spotlight Japan’s first commercial floating offshore wind farm, the Goto Floating Offshore Wind Farm, which began operations in January 2026.

The essence of this exhibition extends beyond merely generating electricity from wind; it aims to inspire awareness about the larger movement towards achieving a carbon-neutral society—a movement that resonates deeply with the winds of change.

Key Highlights of the Exhibition

1. Experience Scale Through Life-sized Models

Visitors to the exhibition will encounter a life-sized mooring chain model designed to hold the wind turbine at sea, alongside a 1/120 scale model featuring eight turbines, allowing guests to intuitively grasp the vastness of floating offshore wind power generation. This juxtaposition of model sizes provides a unique perspective on this innovative technology.

2. Journey through Four Themes

The exhibition is structured around four dynamic themes: "Whirlwind," "New Wind," "Tailwind," and "Spread of the Wind." Through a combination of graphics and video presentations, attendees will explore the mechanics of wind turbines, the journey of challenges faced along the way, the nurturing ties formed through community interactions, and the contributions of floating offshore wind power to the Japanese landscape.

3. A Glimpse into the Future from Offshore Wind Power

Step into the 360-degree cylindrical theater, where a spectacular audiovisual presentation will take you on a journey illustrating the future city planning possibilities arising from floating offshore wind power, known as the Smart Energy Complex City (SECC). This immersive experience promises to engage all your senses as you envision sustainable urban development driven by innovative energy solutions.

We wholeheartedly invite you to visit "TODAtte?" and witness the scale of floating offshore wind power as well as find out more about TODA Construction's pivotal role in this endeavor. We eagerly await your arrival!
