Testkube Secures $8M Series A to Enhance Software Testing Amid AI Growth

Testkube Raises $8M Series A for Software Testing Innovation

On September 23, 2025, Testkube, a prominent Continuous Testing Platform, announced a substantial funding round of $8 million to enhance software quality amidst rapid advancements in artificial intelligence (AI). The financing was led by Ratmir Timashev, co-founder of Veeam Software, along with global software investor Insight Partners. The investment highlights a growing understanding that while AI is accelerating software development, ensuring software quality is lagging behind.

Founded in 2023 as a spin-off from Kubeshop, Testkube originated as an open-source project. This initiative aimed to alleviate the burdens of running tests by enabling users to utilize existing on-premises infrastructure effectively. It quickly gained traction among developers and platform engineers for its ability to tackle real-world problems efficiently. Today, Testkube has evolved into a comprehensive enterprise solution, powering over 100 million automated tests for organizations of various sizes, from emerging startups to large corporations like Cloudflare, Siemens, Adobe, and Volvo.

Dmitry Fonarev, the CEO of Testkube, emphasized the challenges posed by AI in software testing: “AI is rewriting the rules of software development, yet it also makes testing significantly harder,” he stated. Traditional testing tools and Continuous Integration/Continuous Deployment (CI/CD) frameworks are not designed for AI-driven or cloud-native environments. Testkube aims to equip developers and platform teams with the confidence to quickly ship their code without compromising reliability, highlighting that untested software poses significant risks.

Current investors who believed in Testkube’s vision from the beginning participated in this funding round, reinforcing their commitment to the company’s mission. This reinvestment underscores a vital need for tools that ensure reliability as AI reshapes the software development landscape. Testkube serves a diverse clientele across multiple sectors, including financial services, healthcare, technology, and government, showcasing the widespread demand for automated testing solutions at scale.

Testkube integrates seamlessly into Kubernetes-native workflows, allowing organizations to synchronize their testing tools and strategies. This encompasses a variety of testing types—from API to end-to-end, load, security, and AI-driven behavior testing—ultimately facilitating continuous testing at scale. The platform orchestrates various testing tools and frameworks—such as Playwright, Cypress, Selenium, k6, and Postman—optimizing workflows while providing full visibility and control across teams and environments.

“Development is evolving to be more autonomous, with machines increasingly generating code and making decisions at a pace that outstrips human capabilities,” remarked Ole Lensmar, Testkube's CTO and co-founder. He added, “Continuous testing has become the ultimate safety net, ensuring that every change, whether human or AI-generated, undergoes thorough examination before deployment.”

Mike Triplett, Managing Director at Insight Partners, also commented, “Cloud-native development and AI have transformed the pace of software creation, and Testkube is addressing the next crucial bottleneck to ensure testing can keep pace with this acceleration.”

As part of its ongoing innovation, Testkube is actively incorporating AI into its framework, improving features like intelligent test orchestration—which determines the most appropriate tests to execute at any given time—and automated remediation, which proposes fixes for any failed tests. Additionally, adaptive performance testing automatically adjusts load configurations based on expected versus actual outcomes, streamlining and enhancing the QA process significantly.

“AI drives velocity, but without scalable quality, this represents a misleading sense of advancement,” noted Timashev. “Testkube is designed to make sure that the advantages provided by AI do not come at the expense of reliability.”

The funding secured in this Series A round not only positions Testkube as a leader in continuous testing solutions but also underscores the pressing need for robust testing mechanisms as the software development landscape continues to evolve rapidly with AI advancements.
