CareSource Expands Leadership with Promotion and New Appointment to Drive Growth in Georgia Market

Leadership Changes at CareSource

CareSource, a noted nonprofit managed care organization serving over 430,000 Georgians, has made significant leadership changes to bolster its growth and enhance service delivery. Jason Bearden has been elevated to the position of Regional Market President, while David Donohue steps in as the new Georgia Market President.

Jason Bearden's New Role

In his expanded role, Bearden will supervise operations across Georgia, Arkansas, and Mississippi. His focus will be on guiding market strategies, driving growth initiatives, and ensuring the provision of high-quality, whole-person care. Previously, Bearden's leadership as the Georgia Market President played a crucial part in establishing CareSource as a dominant force in the state, where his commitment to member service and community engagement has been unmistakable.

As Scott Markovich, Executive Vice President of Markets and Products, noted, "Jason has been instrumental in shaping CareSource's success in Georgia over the past nine years. His dedication to serving members and his active community involvement have positioned him ideally for this expanded regional strategy. This role change reflects both his exceptional leadership and CareSource's commitment to growing our organization to meet the evolving needs of our communities."

Welcoming David Donohue

As Bearden transitions into this new role, David Donohue will take charge of market growth strategies in Georgia. Donohue has an extensive background in behavioral health and demonstrated leadership skills from his previous position as Market President in Arkansas. He has a proven track record of implementing innovative programs tailored to the needs of complex populations, including crisis interventions and support for those transitioning from institutional care. His experience also includes collaboration with a national community-based provider focusing on individuals with developmental disabilities in Georgia.

Bearden expressed enthusiasm about Donohue's return to Georgia, stating, "He has successfully driven growth and innovation in the Arkansas market. I look forward to collaborating with him to continue CareSource's vital work in Georgia. His understanding of our members' unique needs will significantly enhance our capacity to deliver compassionate, quality care."

With these new appointments, CareSource is well-positioned for sustainable growth and to continue meeting the needs of the communities it serves. The organization is dedicated to driving innovation, improving member experiences, and enhancing health outcomes across the state.
