Huawei Unveils Five Innovative Solutions to Transform Mobility and Logistics into an Intelligent World

Huawei Unveils Vision for an Intelligent Mobility Landscape

Huawei recently showcased its ambitious plans to enhance mobility and logistics through a digital revolution during the Accelerate Transportation Digital Intelligence forum at MWC Barcelona 2026. At this event, the tech giant emphasized the critical need for innovation in transportation services, revealing five groundbreaking solutions designed to usher in a smarter operational framework for the industry.

Embracing Change in Transportation

The forum served as a platform for Huawei to engage with industry partners, customers, and experts in exploring new avenues in smart transportation. Under the guidance of David Shi, Huawei's Vice President of ICT Marketing and Solution Sales, the company expressed its commitment to transparency, collaboration, and shared success. "We aim to construct a robust digital foundation that connects passenger, cargo, business, revenue, and information flows," Shi stated. By integrating artificial intelligence into railway, road, logistics, aviation, and port scenarios, Huawei aims to enhance security and efficiency across comprehensive transportation and logistics systems.

PhD. Reha Çetin, CIO of Istanbul Airport, highlighted the continuous digital transformation of the airport, supported by Huawei’s cutting-edge technologies. He emphasized that Istanbul Airport, recognized as Europe's fastest-growing aviation hub, is striving to deliver next-generation airport experiences through these innovations.

The Role of AI in Modern Transportation

Zaiming Ren, the General Manager of CRSC International, elaborated on how the new railway control system is boosting operational efficiency and transport capacity while reducing lifecycle costs. Ren discussed the role of AI as a potential nerve center for Intelligent Transportation Systems (ITS). Further insights from Carlos López Gutiérrez, Director of the Transport Division at SICE, noted that AI and edge computing platforms are significantly bolstering infrastructure connectivity and the reliability of transportation systems.

Yang Rong, Chief Engineer at Tianjin Port, shared that the port prioritizes the integration of ICT technologies such as 5G, AI, cloud computing, and autonomous driving into its services. He pointed out that the port has already established a smart horizontal transportation system that digitally manages all port elements, with the goal of shaping the future of world-class intelligent ports.

Presenting the Five Solutions

Huawei's diverse solutions, aimed at enhancing the global transportation sector with a comprehensive digital foundation, include:
1. Transport Operations Coordination Center (TOCC) Solution: This solution integrates urban transport management and control processes to improve operational efficiency across various scenarios, including tourist travel support and multi-modal logistics.

2. Next-Generation Carrier Network for Railways: This robust and reliable solution offers high bandwidth and low latency, enabling secure, efficient transmission of operational communication services for the railway industry.

3. Big Data Risk Control Solution for Customs: Leveraging Huawei's leading big data platforms, this solution integrates heterogeneous data from multiple sources to enhance the accuracy of audits and efficiency of customs clearance processes.

4. Comprehensive Planning Tool for Ports: This tool coordinates all aspects of port operations, significantly reducing planning time from hours to minutes and supporting efficient traffic management involving both manual container trucks and intelligent guided vehicles (IGVs).

5. First Commercial Deployment of 1.4 GHz 5G Fixed Wireless Access (FWA) Network for Railways: This pioneering achievement signals a paradigm shift in railway-focused connectivity throughout Indonesia, providing broader access to next-gen communications along the country’s railroads.

Looking Ahead

Huawei's ongoing collaborations, including the Global Smart Port Trial initiated with the Shandong Port Group, exemplify its commitment to modernizing the global port sector through digital operations and intelligent planning. To date, the company has supported over 100 ports, more than 210 airports, and numerous urban rail lines and logistics enterprises worldwide.

Moving forward, Huawei intends to implement its "platform + ecosystem" strategy to foster a digital and intelligent foundation for transportation and logistics. The company is dedicated to enhancing intelligent transportation, firmly committed to the vision of transporting mobility and logistics into an intelligent world.
