Grounded Lithium Successfully Completes 2024 Field Program and Progresses on Kindersley Lithium Project

Grounded Lithium Corp. Advances Kindersley Lithium Project

Grounded Lithium Corp. (GLC), a prominent player in the lithium brine exploration market, has successfully completed its 2024 field program for the Kindersley Lithium Project (KLP). This milestone marks an important step towards enhancing the understanding and commercial viability of lithium extraction from the Duperow formation in Southwest Saskatchewan.

The field program was carried out in collaboration with Denison Mines Corp., which has a strategic partnership with GLC. Through re-entry and extension of the original well (4-15-33-23W3), significant geological data was gathered. Notably, the well was deepened by 100 meters and underwent comprehensive testing for lithium concentrations across various intervals of the Duperow formation.

The primary objective of these efforts was not only to validate previous findings but also to explore new horizons within the formation that were previously inaccessible. As a result, the team successfully identified additional deliverability of lithium-rich brine, which promises to enhance the overall production capabilities of the KLP.

Key Highlights of the 2024 Field Program

  • - Sample Collection: The program yielded 83 cubic meters (approximately 525 barrels) of bulk brine samples. These samples are crucial for further analysis and technological development.
  • - Comprehensive Testing: Eleven distinct intervals within the Duperow formation were tested for flow capabilities and lithium concentrations. Samples from these tests have been sent to three independent laboratories, ensuring accurate verification of lithium and ion concentrations.
  • - Positive Results: The testing phase confirmed previously established lithium concentrations from certain zones at 76.5 milligrams per liter (mg/L). Additionally, promising results emerged from the newly drilled lower zone, which showcased higher deliverability with lithium brine concentrations recorded at 66 mg/L.
  • - Advancements in Direct Lithium Extraction: The company has commenced direct lithium extraction testing using the brine samples recovered during the field program. This work is being conducted at various independent tech labs to culminate in the design of extraction facilities that support the project's long-term viability.
  • - Enhanced Reservoir Modelling: The newly acquired data from the field program equips the team for further 3D reservoir depletion modeling. This model will aid in production modeling and infrastructure design planning, ultimately steering the project towards operational success.

Future Prospects of Kindersley Lithium Project

The progress made during the 2024 field program lays a solid foundation for the ongoing Pre-Feasibility Study (PFS) expected to complete by mid-2025. Stantec Inc. has been commissioned to author this independent study, which will have a significant role in assessing the commercial potential of the KLP. GLC’s President and CEO, Gregg Smith, expressed enthusiasm about the successful completion of the program, emphasizing that the insights gained will notably enhance the understanding of the Duperow formation.

GLC’s comprehensive approach, coupled with Denison Mines' investment of up to $15.15 million into the project, underscores a mutual commitment to advancing lithium extraction technologies in line with global demands for sustainable energy sources. As the world pivots towards renewable energy, GLC is poised to fulfill an essential role in the evolution of lithium production within Canada, aiming to establish itself as a leading environmentally responsible producer as the sector matures.

In summary, Grounded Lithium Corp.'s strategic advancements in the Kindersley Lithium Project suggest a promising outlook for the company as it continues to refine extraction processes and leverage significant geological findings to enhance its operational model, ultimately setting the stage for a successful future in the lithium market.
