Join the Earth Day Forum 2026!

On April 4, 2026, join us for the Earth Day Forum 2026, an event that connects Earth Day activities across Japan and shares the latest information and initiatives in environmental action. Every year on April 22, we celebrate Earth Day, a global event that highlights the commitment of individuals to protect our planet.

Originating from grassroots movements in the United States in 1970, Earth Day has grown to include over 1 billion people in more than 193 countries. The United Nations has also recognized April 22 as International Mother Earth Day since 2010.

As we face increasing challenges from climate change, environmental degradation, and extreme weather events each year, the global discourse has shifted towards sustainability. Keywords such as SDGs, sustainability, circular economy, and nature positive have become integral to policies across governments, businesses, and communities, reflecting a collective urgency to transition toward environmentally conscious societies.

In 2026, the global theme for Earth Day is OUR POWER, OUR PLANET. The Earth Day Japan Network, in collaboration with EARTHDAY.ORG (formerly Earth Day Network), will enhance the global movement by designating April as Earth Day Month, where we will announce various initiatives at the Earth Day Forum.

Our event will feature prominent figures including actor Shun Shioya, who is also an Earth Day evangelist, and SUGIZO, a global Earth Day ambassador and musician, who will participate via video message. Special guests will include:

Following the forum, an Earth Day networking event will occur where guests and participants can connect. This is a great opportunity to share experiences and build relationships with like-minded individuals.

• - Location: Members Headquarters / Live-streaming on YouTube (Hybrid event)
• - Participation Fee: Free for the forum. A fee of 200 (includes light snacks and beverages) for the networking event.
