XCMG Hosts Global Mining Summit on Zero Carbon Smart Solutions
From August 20 to 22, XCMG Machinery held its Global Mining Summit on Zero Carbon Smart Solutions in Xuzhou and Hulunbuir. This significant event was a convergence of industry leaders and experts discussing sustainable innovations, advanced technologies, and strengthening global partnerships in mining.
Under the theme "Solid Innovation for Green Mining," the summit focused on environmentally friendly and intelligent mining practices tailored to tackle industry challenges. XCMG highlighted its comprehensive, practical solutions that provide integrated equipment, real-world application examples, and all-in-one services, reinforcing its status as a smart partner uplifting the entire sector beyond just an equipment supplier.
On August 20, over 200 customers from around the globe convened in Xuzhou to explore XCMG's energy storage solutions pertaining to energy sources, power grids, and loads. Attendees were introduced to new energy technologies along with complete solutions for surface and underground mining. Juxtaposing traditional practices with modern solutions, the company showcased around 80 units of new energy recovery equipment operational in real-world scenarios.
The exhibits included vehicles with interchangeable batteries, refurbished core components, maintenance tools, and cost-effective lifecycle solutions in surface mining, emphasizing holistic procurement plans.
On August 22, in Hulunbuir, mining titans, technology pioneers, and leading scientists from over 30 countries gathered to explore solutions aimed at carbon-free production, enhancing safety, and optimizing cost efficiency. At the forefront of this discussion was XCMG, which demonstrated its fully integrated CO2-neutral solutions via the Yimin surface mine example.
Notably, the summit also introduced the ZNK95, a fully electric, unmanned mining truck developed by XCMG. It is recognized as the world’s first mass-produced, driverless electric mining vehicle. Further enhancing operational efficiency, the summit unveiled the world’s first collaborative operating system for multiple devices that coordinates operations among sprinklers, loaders, dozers, and pickup trucks.
XCMG’s comprehensive product lineup for new energy in mining encompasses all workflow stages from drilling, excavation, transportation, crushing, to auxiliary operations. Complete solutions span core batteries, engines, and control components to sustainable energy infrastructures featuring wind, solar, storage, and charging facilities.
In collaboration with 107 companies across 26 countries, XCMG issued the pioneering "Joint Declaration on Global Zero-Carbon Smart Mining." This industry-first document aims to collectively drive progress towards a low-carbon and sustainable future, touching on aspects such as electrification, automation, unmanned operations, net-zero emissions, circular economy, technology exchange, and international cooperation.
During a panel discussion at the summit, Shan Zenghai, Vice President and Chief Engineer of XCMG, shared his insights on new energy supply solutions, equipment for renewable energy, and unmanned operation strategies, discussing best practices for achieving CO2-neutral intelligent mining.
