YY Group Launches AI Training Lab and Robotics Pilot in Singapore, Advancing Workforce Solutions

YY Group Launches AI Training Lab and Robotics Pilot in Singapore

In a significant move for the application of AI in workforce management, YY Group Holding Limited (NASDAQ: YYGH) has launched its Humanoid Robotics Training Lab in Singapore. This initiative is part of YY Group's broader strategy to enhance AI training data and streamline operations through technology. The lab is designed to foster a Human-Robot Co-Working framework, which will see humanoid robots deployed in some of the leading hospitality and retail facilities in Singapore.

This launch follows the previously announced AI training and data collection facility in Johor, Malaysia, which was revealed on April 22, 2026. Together, these facilities aim to gather structured, real-world human activity data from YY Group's extensive network of over 500,000 workers across various service sectors, including hospitality, food and beverage, and security. This data will be crucial for training smart robots to operate effectively alongside human staff in live service environments.

The Singapore lab will use advanced NVIDIA accelerated computing technology, allowing it to process and analyze vast amounts of data efficiently. It will also serve as a demonstration area for clients to see the potential of these advanced technologies in action. This strategic move aligns with YY Group's goal of commercializing physical AI solutions.

To put their plans into action, YY Group has partnered with notable commercial venues, including a luxury hotel and a major shopping mall in Singapore. Humanoid robots will be tested in these real-world settings, working alongside human professionals. This collaboration not only aims to improve operational efficiency but also provides invaluable feedback on how robots interact with human workers, enhancing their spatial awareness and task performance.

YY Group's CEO, Mike Fu, expressed the vision behind this initiative by stating, "Our Human-Robot Co-Working framework is based on a simple idea: robots are assigned repetitive and physically demanding tasks while human employees focus on more complex and higher-value operations. This strategic deployment is designed to create a symbiotic relationship between humans and robots, ultimately leading to an optimized workflow that benefits all parties involved."

The ultimate goal is to develop a collaborative ecosystem where human expertise and robotic efficiency can improve service delivery, increase productivity, and mitigate labor shortages in the service sector. With ongoing pilot programs and the operational capabilities offered through both the Johor facility and Singapore lab, YY Group is well-positioned to drive innovation in workforce management.

YY Group’s initiatives not only serve their clients but also add to their existing resources, maintaining their revenue outlook for fiscal year 2026, which is projected between $103 million and $110 million. These developments reflect a forward-thinking approach aimed at leveraging AI and robotics to create a workforce model that dramatically enhances operational capabilities while addressing chronic labor supply issues.

As it continues to expand its reach and technological proficiency, YY Group remains committed to delivering effective and innovative solutions that cater to the evolving demands of the workforce landscape. This proactive strategy ensures YY Group is at the forefront of the technological integration in various sectors, positioning itself for future growth and success.
