Human Group Marks 40 Years of Growth and Contribution to Society

Celebrating 40 Years of Human Group

On April 17, 2025, Human Holdings Co., Ltd., headquartered in Shinjuku, Tokyo, will celebrate its 40th anniversary, emphasizing its vital contributions to society through education and talent development. Under the leadership of President Tomoya Sato, the company has consistently operated with the philosophy of 'Iseiijin' or 'For the World, For People'.

Founded in 1985, Human Group began its journey focusing on educational services and quickly expanded its reach into various sectors, including human resources, nursing care, childcare, IT, beauty, and sports. The organization believes that education is not just about providing learning opportunities; it is also essential to ensure that individuals are given the platforms to thrive and succeed afterward. This holistic approach has allowed the company to construct a unique business model where education and its domains are intricately linked, creating a sustainable cycle of talent development.

In response to pressing social issues such as labor shortages, an aging population, and childcare waiting lists, Human Group has played a significant role in addressing these challenges. With a belief that human growth drives societal development, the company is committed to nurturing individuals equipped with the necessary skills to meet the evolving demands of the workforce.

Reflecting on the last four decades, the organization recognizes the ongoing crisis in Japan's declining labor force and the urgent need to tackle these issues head-on. Human Group aims to leverage its extensive background in cultivating and producing a highly skilled workforce to face these challenges and contribute towards innovative solutions for societal advancement in a new era.

The concept of ‘SELFing’ has been introduced to encapsulate the journey of self-discovery and continuous personal development, wherein individuals realize their aspirations and, in doing so, create rich societal contributions. Moving forward, the company envisions a sustainable society centered around people, consistent with its guiding principles.

To commemorate its 40th anniversary, Human Group will roll out various promotional activities, including a special website, television commercials, outdoor advertising, and social media campaigns.

A Message from the Founder

As the founder of Human Group, it is a moment of gratitude for me to look back over the past 40 years. In 1985, I established this company with a belief that 'the future lies in education.' However, the initial period was challenging as we lacked public trust and faced difficulties in securing a classroom space. Two key phrases have been my guiding light throughout these years: 'Human - the essence of our pursuit is people' and 'Iseiijin'.

In 1986, I changed the company's name to 'The Human Company' as I saw the immense potential in putting 'people' at the heart of our mission. Since then, we have approached challenges fearlessly, leading to the establishment of a strong corporate culture that values endeavors and creativity.

As society continues to evolve rapidly, we remain committed to believing in human potential while generating new values. Through collaboration with diverse partners, we will continue contributing to creating a better future.

Acknowledgment from the President

On April 17, our group reaches a significant milestone of turning 40. I extend sincere gratitude for the unwavering support from all stakeholders. Since its inception in 1985, Human Group has responded to changing times by focusing on nurturing individuals and contributing to society. As we expanded into fields such as human resources, nursing care, childcare, IT, beauty, and sports, we have consistently forged unique business models that leverage synergies with education.

Today, Japan faces a critical issue of declining workforce numbers. As a company rooted in human values, it is imperative that we face this challenge and contribute to the resolution. Going forward, as a 'solution company addressing Japan's labor shortage,' we will focus on four key areas: harnessing international talents, specialized education and reskilling, securing domestic labor, and enhancing productivity.
