Douglas R. Brown's Legal Journey

Originally from Junction City, Kansas, Mr. Brown has forged deep connections to Nevada. His journey began with a four-year service in the United States Marine Corps from 1989 to 1993, which instilled in him a strong sense of discipline and commitment. After his military service, he pursued higher education at the University of Nevada-Las Vegas (UNLV), obtaining a Bachelor of Arts in Political Science in 1997. Following this, he earned his Juris Doctor from the McGeorge School of Law, University of the Pacific in 2001.

During his career, Brown has taken on various prestigious roles, including a legal externship with the Honorable Howard D. McKibben and serving as a law clerk for the Honorable William A. Maddox at the First Judicial District Court of Nevada. These early experiences were instrumental in shaping his legal acumen and preparing him for his future endeavors.

Before joining Benson & Bingham, Mr. Brown was a key figure at Lemons, Grundy & Eisenberg as a partner and shareholder, where he specialized in complex civil litigation, gaining extensive jury trial experience that included over a dozen trials, alongside numerous arbitrations and mediations.

Mr. Brown is not only a skilled attorney but also a dedicated community member. He is an active contributor to the legal field through his involvement with the Washoe County Bar Association, American Bar Association, and the American Inns of Court (Bruce R. Thompson Chapter).
