Author Biography

Tomomi Hikatsu was born in Nagano Prefecture. After graduating from Tama Art University and working in a design firm, she began producing copperplate engravings. Her recognition surged in 1998 when she was selected for the Bologna Illustration Fair. In 2014, she received the prestigious 19th Nihon Ehon Award for "Today is the Maracas Day." Hikatsu has published numerous works, solidifying her reputation in the world of children’s literature.
