Mazda Sales Report for July 2026 Highlights Mixed Performance in the Market

Mazda's July 2026 Sales Results

Mazda North American Operations (MNAO) recently released their sales report for July 2026, indicating that total sales for the month reached 39,180 vehicles. This figure represents a 13% decrease compared to July 2025. Accumulated sales for the year now stand at 241,014 vehicles, marking a 5.6% drop from the same period last year. The daily sales rate (DSR) also reflected a downturn, dropping by 13%, despite maintaining the same number of selling days—26—in both July 2026 and 2025.

In a positive twist, certified pre-owned vehicle sales (CPO) increased by 13.6%, totaling 7,123 vehicles sold in July. This strong performance contrasts sharply with the overall sales trend and highlights the growing appeal of used vehicles in the current market.

Highlights from July Sales Report

  • - This month's total sales mark the third-best July performance in Mazda's history.
  • - CX-90 MHEV sales achieved record numbers, indicating strong consumer interest in this model.
  • - The certified pre-owned program also saw its best July ever, showcasing a robust appreciation for quality used vehicles among shoppers.

Mazda Motor de México (MMdM) reported 8,847 vehicle sales in July, reflecting a 10% decrease from the previous year. Year-to-date, MMdM sales reached 60,857 vehicles, a slight improvement of 2% year-over-year.

Insights on Model Performance

Looking at specific models, the Mazda3 managed to shine with 3,903 units sold, significantly increasing its performance by 87.5% compared to last July. This surge is attributed to both the sedan and hatchback versions, showing rises of 91.8% and 77.4% respectively. However, the MX-5 Miata experienced a 16.3% decline in sales, indicating challenges for this iconic model.

Sales for the CX-30 and CX-50 models also generated mixed results, with the CX-30 increasing its sales by 9.7%, while the CX-5 saw a notable decrease of 22.3% compared to last year.

In contrast, the CX-90 TTL faced a sales drop of 28.3%, and notably experienced a decline in the year-to-date performance as well.
