Blue Water and Make-A-Wish Join Forces to Inspire Hope for Children with Illnesses

Blue Water Partners with Make-A-Wish to Bring Hope And Inspiration To Children

In a heartwarming initiative, Blue Water, a prominent player in outdoor hospitality, has announced a new partnership with Make-A-Wish Philadelphia, Delaware & Susquehanna Valley. This collaboration aims to enhance visibility and raise essential funds for local children battling critical illnesses. The initiative will encourage guests and staff members alike to engage in a mission that profoundly transforms lives through the granting of wishes.

A Meaningful Partnership

On June 30, 2025, Blue Water officials unveiled this initiative, emphasizing their commitment to supporting families facing extraordinary challenges. Todd Burbage, CEO of Blue Water, stated, "This partnership goes far beyond fundraising. It's about standing alongside an organization whose mission transforms lives." By aligning with Make-A-Wish Delaware, Blue Water hopes to extend its positive impact further into the community.

Guests at Blue Water’s Delaware locations will encounter co-branded marketing materials that highlight the mission of Make-A-Wish. Among these will be the inspirational story of Leo, a seven-year-old from Sussex County who bravely fought leukemia. Thanks to Make-A-Wish, Leo's dream of visiting the Georgia Aquarium became a reality. Stories like Leo's will be shared through on-site signage and marketing efforts, reminding guests of the good that comes from supporting Make-A-Wish.

Easy Ways to Contribute

In an effort to facilitate donations, Blue Water is incorporating scannable QR codes into their properties, allowing guests to contribute quickly and easily. Additionally, customers will have the option to add a donation during the booking process—a simple yet effective way to support the foundation. This streamlined approach aims to engage a wider audience and increase participation in the campaign.

Fueling Wishes Together

Blue Water is striving to engage guests and staff through shared storytelling and active participation. The partnership encompasses several properties, including Bay Resort Waterfront Hotel, Jellystone Park at Delaware Beaches, and Sun Outdoors Rehoboth Bay, with many more expected to join this worthy cause.

"At Blue Water, we believe in creating meaningful moments," Burbage continued. "Our guests and team members will rally around this initiative with compassion and purpose, bringing joy to children who need it most." The collaboration embodies Blue Water's ongoing commitment to giving back to the communities in which it operates, aiming to fuel wishes that foster strength, laughter, and renewed hope for children throughout Delaware.
