Milken Institute's Women's Health Network Digital Platform
The Milken Institute has collaborated with Velir x Brooklyn Data to unveil an innovative digital platform for the Women's Health Network (WHN), marking a significant milestone in the realm of women's health. This new digital space aims to foster collaboration and accelerate research and investments in women's health across various sectors.
A Collaborative Effort for Women's Health
The Women's Health Network is a global initiative focused on enhancing women's health through research, innovation, and collaboration. With the launch of this digital platform, the Milken Institute and Velir x Brooklyn Data aspire to create a vibrant hub that connects leaders, investors, and innovators committed to transforming healthcare for women.
Velir x Brooklyn Data, noted for their data-driven approach to digital experiences, spearheaded the design and development of this platform. The project was undertaken in just 2.5 months, showcasing an impressive speed of execution that included establishing the brand identity and developing the digital experience using the Drupal framework.
Launching the Digital Hub
The platform's official unveiling was celebrated during the inaugural Women's Health Network Steering Committee Member Luncheon in Washington, D.C., on November 4, 2025. This event coincided with the Milken Institute's Future of Health Summit, emphasizing the interconnectedness of various health initiatives. A promotional video chronicling the Network’s vision and potential was also premiered at the luncheon, further showcasing its objectives to the public.
This digital presence is more than just a website; it serves as a structured space for high-level members to connect, share insights, and engage in meaningful discussions about improving women's health outcomes. The strategic vision behind the platform is to attract a selective membership passionate about facilitating change in this domain.
Future Developments and Enhancements
This initial release marks just the beginning of a broader engagement strategy. Plans for the platform's future include the rollout of a member login experience by February 2026, which will promote interactivity and networking among members. By April 2026, advanced collaboration tools and enhanced community features are expected to create an even more dynamic environment for dialogue and innovation.
The ongoing partnerships between Velir x Brooklyn Data and the Milken Institute indicate a commitment to continuously developing resources that facilitate heightened engagement within the Network. These upcoming phases are designed to enhance the overall ecosystem, making it an essential platform for driving insights and fostering collaboration among leaders in women's health.
Addressing Historical Underinvestment
Historically, women's health has faced chronic underinvestment, a gap that the Women's Health Network seeks to bridge. By convening prominent leaders from various sectors, including healthcare, philanthropy, and policy-making, the Network aims to foster significant advancements in research, care delivery, and technological innovation. Chaired by former First Lady Dr. Jill Biden, the Network envisions a future where women’s health receives the attention and funding it rightfully deserves.
With over 100 members from diverse sectors already on board, the Women's Health Network is generating one of the most extensive coalitions ever aimed at improving the landscape of women's health. As this Network evolves, it holds the promise of transformative outcomes that will ultimately enhance the health and well-being of women everywhere.
