Seiyu's New Nishiiinokubo Store Opening Soon
On November 27, 2025, Seiyu, a subsidiary of Trial Holdings based in Fukuoka, will open its latest supermarket in Nishiiinokubo, Edogawa Ward, Tokyo. This new store aims to address local community needs, focusing on convenience for families and working households in the area.
A Family-Centric Supermarket
Located in a residential area with abundant kindergartens and schools, the Nishiiinokubo store is designed to cater specifically to families. Despite its compact size of approximately 500 square meters, it promises a wide selection of fresh produce, diverse prepared foods, processed items, and frozen goods. Understanding the demands of dual-income households in the neighborhood, the store will enhance its offerings of convenience and ready-to-eat products.
Notably, the store will also focus on health-conscious consumers by stocking products suitable for those utilizing the gym located on the second floor of the store. This initiative aligns with the growing trend of prioritizing health in busy lifestyles.
Private Brand Offerings
In a hint of collaboration and innovation, the Nishiiinokubo store will feature private brands from Trial Holdings, following their merger in July 2025. These brands offer an extensive range of products, from fresh items to processed foods and daily necessities, all characterized by outstanding cost performance that customers have come to love.
Alongside this, Seiyu's private label, “Minasama no Osumitsuki”, known for its quality and reliability, will be available, creating a unique shopping experience distinct to the Seiyu and Trial brands.
A Streamlined Shopping Experience
To further enhance customer convenience, the store design includes a layout that places prepared foods, frozen items, and beverages immediately at the entrance. This strategic positioning is aimed at allowing shoppers to quickly grab what they need without unnecessary delays, reflecting Seiyu's commitment to efficiency and customer satisfaction.
Starting December 8, 2025, the Seiyu online supermarket will also commence operations, allowing customers to enjoy an even more convenient shopping experience through an integrated platform that includes both in-store and online services.
Commitment to Community
Seiyu remains dedicated to responding to the needs of local customers by providing an accessible selection of products and services. The goal is to create an environment where shoppers leave feeling satisfied and appreciation for having Seiyu close at hand.
With the addition of the Nishiiinokubo store, the total number of Seiyu outlets in Tokyo will reach 76, bringing the total nationwide to 244 stores. Seiyu's commitment to expanding its presence reflects a robust approach towards serving communities across Japan.
