SUNMI Unveils Innovations at NRF 2025

From January 12 to 14, 2025, the National Retail Federation (NRF) held its annual convention at the Javits Center in New York, highlighting the newest advancements in retail technology. This year marked SUNMI's seventh consecutive year participating in this significant event, where they presented two innovative series comprising eight flagship products, all under the compelling theme "Super, Better, Together."

Expanding the Android Product Lineup

SUNMI took the opportunity at NRF to introduce its latest Commercial PAD and Flex series, developed with profound market insights and designed to meet the evolving needs of different industries. These Android devices are the result of continuous innovation and significant investments in research and development, aimed at enhancing user experience.

The Commercial PAD series is specifically crafted for professional environments, boasting a sleek, minimalist design. Available in various sizes and port configurations, these devices offer flexible installation options, including desktop and wall mounting. They come equipped with cutting-edge international payment capabilities, Bluetooth 5.3 for safe data transmission, and effortless network switching, all contributing to an impressive debut that drew considerable interest at the SUNMI booth.

In addition, the Flex series features a modular design that allows for customizable smart terminal solutions. Powered by Qualcomm's robust AI chip, this modular system provides exceptional performance and flexibility, facilitating easier assembly for diverse application scenarios.

Introducing the SUPER Solution

Among the standout features of SUNMI's showcase was the unveiling of the SUPER Solution—a dual-system upgrade stemming from last year’s successful collaboration with Qualcomm Technologies, Inc. This groundbreaking point-of-sale solution is the first in the industry powered by Qualcomm® IoT processors. This innovation significantly reduces deployment expenses while delivering high performance with low energy consumption, aligning with eco-friendly practices and supporting the transition of the global POS industry towards cross-platform functionalities.

Additionally, SUNMI introduced a range of dual-system smart terminals that offer customers a low-power but high-performance option, delivering a refined and stylish point-of-sale experience across various business contexts.

Art Miller, VP of Business Development at Qualcomm Technologies, emphasized the importance of innovation, stating, "In this era of rapid 5G and AI advancements, continuous technological innovation and research are essential drivers of business digitization. Our partnership with SUNMI reflects our shared commitment to creating a more intelligent and interconnected world."
