Strengthening Hearing Support Collaboration Between Okayama University and Oticon's Global Leadership
On September 19, 2025, Dr. Sebastien Santurette, the Head of Audiology Research at the global hearing aid manufacturer Oticon, came to Okayama to strengthen collaborative efforts in hearing support with local authorities and Okayama University. Dr. Santurette's visit began with a tour of the Okayama Kanariya Gakuen, Japan's first preschool for children with hearing impairments. The center, which opened a new building in 2022, currently serves over 80 children.
