The recent conclusion of the 34th East China Fair (ECF) in Shanghai marked a significant milestone for China's foreign trade, showcasing an impressive order volume of approximately $2.2 billion. Over the four-day event, around 46,450 buyers from 126 countries and regions attended, reflecting a 2.9% year-on-year increase in foreign buyer participation.
Growing International Interest
This year, buyers from Europe and North America saw a notable increase of 5.5%, while attendees from Southeast Asia surged by 24.1%. The fair served as a vibrant platform for both domestic and international buyers, who were fascinated by the captivating displays featuring new technologies, green development initiatives, and evolving consumer trends.
Innovative Products Stealing the Spotlight
Exhibitors at the ECF unveiled a variety of innovative products incorporating cutting-edge advancements such as Artificial Intelligence (AI), the Internet of Things (IoT), and 3D printing. Highlights included an AI Magic Mirror, hydrogen-oxygen equipment, plant protection drones, and even 3D-printed footwear. Additionally, 14 procurement groups comprising 1,154 qualified buyers were invited, and seven business matchmaking events were organized to facilitate meaningful business agreements.
