Celebrate the 5th Anniversary of Ariake Garden
Ariake Garden, a vibrant commercial complex run by Sumitomo Realty & Development in Koto City, Tokyo, is excited to announce a special campaign in honor of its 5th anniversary. From October 24 to November 7, 2025, visitors will have the chance to win a two-kilogram package of Calrose rice, a high-quality product from California, by simply shopping at the facility.
As the cost of rice increases in Japan, the consumption environment is evolving, leading to newfound interests in rice varieties and cooking methods among consumers. Over the years, rice has remained a staple in Japanese diets, but it now needs to adapt to modern preferences and trends. Last year, Ariake Garden introduced a unique opportunity to try the rare Tanesuhara rice from Nagaoka, Niigata, allowing visitors to discover the wonders of specialty rice.
This year, the spotlight is on Calrose rice, celebrated globally for its flavor and texture. Through tasting events, restaurant menus, and promotional giveaways, guests can experience first-hand the excellence of Calrose rice, designed to enhance the culinary landscape of Japanese dining. The aim is to provide a platform for visitors to discover and enjoy the diversity of rice, while also bridging cultural gaps through food.
Purpose of the Campaign
- - To provide experiences that showcase evolving food culture through the essential ingredient of rice.
- - To transform the commercial space into a venue for discovery and enrichment beyond the traditional shopping approach.
- - To encourage the rediscovery of food values and support household budgets while shaping the future of dining.
