Bird Festival Okayama: A Celebration of All Things Avian
The eagerly anticipated Bird Festival Okayama is just around the corner! Scheduled for August 22 and 23, 2026, this inaugural event promises to be a haven for bird lovers of all ages. Hosted at the Olga Hall, located merely a seven-minute walk from Okayama Station, the festival is organized by Kotoricafe, a well-known cafe in Ueno that specializes in providing a relaxing coffee experience amid beautiful birds.
What to Expect
This festival is designed as a “celebration by bird enthusiasts, for bird enthusiasts.” Attendees will have the chance to meet popular creators from all over Japan, from Hokkaido in the north to Kyushu in the south. These talented artists will showcase various bird-themed merchandise, including colorful artworks and delightful toys for your feathered friends. Your companion parrots and finches will surely enjoy some new gifts!
Special Guests and Collaborations
We are excited to announce that guest artist Yutoriya will join us, offering their unique illustrations at the festival. Additionally, Kotoricafe has partnered with Fairy Tale and Emmy Jonomori for an enchanting experience filled with creativity and inspiration. Attendees can look forward to featured collaborations that highlight the charm and joy of our avian companions.

Directions: The venue is accessible via a short walk from the West Exit of Okayama Station. Look for the COOP sign on the building!

Admission Information
The entry fee is a nominal 500 yen, while children in elementary school and younger can enter for free. Each attendee will receive a special clear file featuring illustrations by the talented Oguchi Yoko, commemorating the 10th anniversary of the Bird Festival. While we have plenty in stock, supplies are limited; once they are gone, we will switch to other designs!

The Bird Festival coincides with Okayama's largest festival, “Uraja,” which may lead to traffic regulations and limited parking. To have a seamless experience, we recommend using public transport to get to the event.
