Haseko Corporation Receives Recognition for 14 Years of Commitment to Tokyo Green Ship Action

Haseko Corporation Honored for Environmental Dedication

Haseko Corporation, headquartered in Minato-ku, Tokyo, recently received recognition from the Tokyo Environment Bureau's Director, Koji Miyazawa, for its steadfast participation in the "Tokyo Green Ship Action" initiative for the past 14 years. This award was presented on July 28th, acknowledging the company's commitment to environmental conservation activities.

Since 2012, Haseko has actively engaged in the Tokyo Green Ship Action, which aligns with its "Biodiversity Action Guidelines." Over the years, the company has participated 22 times, with a total of 892 employees contributing to environmental conservation efforts. This year marked the introduction of a new recognition program aimed at businesses and organizations that have consistently participated in the initiative, making Haseko one of the first commendations given for their dedication over the past 14 years.

Haseko is committed to ecological conservation initiatives, including the ongoing activities under the Tokyo Green Ship Action. In addition to protecting the natural environment, the company aims to enhance the environmental awareness of each employee, fostering a culture that cherishes the landscapes they strive to maintain.

The initiatives are part of Haseko's broader "Sustainability Vision" established in March 2018. This vision articulates four key themes that represent the company's commitment to sustainable development: creating livable spaces, desirable workplaces, beloved landscapes, and nurturing a trustworthy organizational culture. Haseko actively works towards minimizing environmental impact throughout its development processes and prioritizes biodiversity in its operations to create a more sustainable and comfortable Earth.

Award Ceremony

The award ceremony showcased Haseko's commitment to sustainability, featuring notable attendees such as Director Miyazawa of the Tokyo Environment Bureau and Watanuma, head of the Sustainability Promotion Department at Haseko Corporation. Their collaboration exemplifies a strong commitment to the environment and the importance of corporate responsibility in combating climate change.

As Haseko moves forward, it intends to maintain its proactive efforts in biodiversity conservation and looks forward to continued participation in projects like the Tokyo Green Ship Action, which strengthen their dedication to fostering a sustainable future.
