Chou Aniki Collection to Launch on Steam

In an exciting announcement, Edia Co., Ltd., based in Chiyoda, Tokyo, has confirmed the upcoming release of Chou Aniki Collection on Steam. This new installment follows the successful launch on Nintendo Switch in December 2024, where the collection received rave reviews and exceptional popularity among gamers.

With numerous requests from fans asking for a PC version, Edia has collaborated with Extreme, a fellow company based in Toshima, Tokyo, to bring this beloved franchise to the digital platform. The Steam store page is now available, along with the option for users to add the game to their wishlist, starting November 4.

Chou Aniki Series Make its Steam Debut

The Chou Aniki Collection will feature a complete remaster of the original titles, including the first game Chou Aniki, released in December 1992, and its sequel Ai Chou Aniki, launched in February 1995. With enhanced features, players can expect to experience the nostalgic charm of the original while enjoying modern functionality such as Sound Mode, Visual Mode, and a convenient rewind feature. The story focuses on Bodybuilding Emperor, known for dominating the Galactic Bodybuilding Contest for ten consecutive years, who faces a crisis due to dwindling protein supplies on his home planet. In an effort to secure his reign, he recklessly invades neighboring planets to establish protein mining plants. To counter this threat, the divine beings Idaten and Benten take action to restore peace and eliminate the Builder Army.

2. Ai Chou Aniki (1995)
Two years after the initial conflict, peace reigns across the galaxy following the demise of the Builder Emperor. However, tensions rise as Idaten detects unusual activity in the Builder star system and embarks on a solo investigation, only to go missing. Benten, alarmed by Idaten’s disappearance, sets out to find him with the help of two brave heroes, Adon and Samson, to uncover the strange occurrences in the Builder system.
