The partnership aims to implement Cognizant's Application Management Services (AMS) under the Bank’s AMS 2.0 initiative, marking a pivotal step in enhancing user experience, efficiency, and productivity.
As of September 17, 2026, the AMS 2.0 initiative aims to fortify delivery governance, improve operational consistency, and hasten the adoption of automation in application support services. This structured program is built on automation-led practices designed to boost service reliability and cost efficiency. It also provides robust productivity, scalability, and standardized processes, with a strong emphasis on governance, compliance, and operational discipline.
The AMS 2.0 initiative is a fundamental component of Axis Bank’s larger technology transformation journey. It reflects the bank's strategic commitment to building a scalable and resilient IT operating model. Under a five-year agreement, Cognizant will collaborate with Axis Bank to support systems across various business domains, including Branch and Operations, Corporate Banking and Treasury, Core Platforms and Payments, as well as Finance and Accounting.
