Union Tec Accelerates Growth Strategy
Union Tec Inc., a leading design and construction firm based in Shibuya, Tokyo, has announced the appointment of Ryu Yo as its new Executive Creative Director. The company, which specializes in interior design and construction for offices and retail spaces, aims to streamline its growth strategy with this significant organizational change set for December 2025. The firm’s mission, "Build a new standard," will guide these developments.
Ryu, a highly experienced interior designer known for his work with five-star hotels across Asia, will oversee the creative direction for Union Tec's two primary business areas: the newly established Luxury Residence Division and the operational Beauty & Medical Clinic Division.
The restructuring is designed to enhance the firm's capacity to respond to rapid market changes and client needs. By creating specialized divisions, Union Tec hopes to accelerate the growth of its business, particularly in areas where it has seen substantial demand, such as the medical beauty and luxury residential markets.
Strengthening the Creative Structure
The new creative team includes executive leaders from both divisions. Ryu joins as the driving force behind innovation and design excellence while collaborating with the Vice President of the Luxury Residence Division, Yutaro Matsuda, and the Vice President of the Beauty & Medical Clinic Division, Yoshiyuki Ito. Their collective expertise will ensure that Union Tec maintains its leadership in providing high-quality spatial experiences.
As the beauty medical clinic sector experiences explosive growth, Ryu’s contributions are expected to further enhance the company’s prospects. The newly structured Beauty & Medical Clinic Division is anticipated to achieve estimated sales of approximately 4.07 billion yen this fiscal year, reflecting its significant expansion since its inception in 2022.
Launching New Divisions
In response to rising demand in the luxury residential sector, Union Tec has established the Luxury Residence Division, separate from its commercial space operations. This division aims to design experiences that transcend the traditional five-star service, blending art, hospitality, and architecture.
With ambitious goals ahead, the Luxury Residence Division will focus on two primary areas: private residences and hospitality & assets, promising a unique spatial value that sets a new standard within the industry.
