JAL and JTA Fuel Surcharge Adjustment for 2026

However, considering the extraordinary measures implemented by the government in light of the Middle Eastern situation, the revised fuel surcharge applicable to tickets issued for July and August 2026 will be set at the amount for Zone T (¥25,000 benchmark).

1. For tickets issued between July 1 and August 31, 2026, there will be no changes to the surcharge amount regardless of future fluctuations in aviation oil prices. 2. Details regarding the fuel surcharge for tickets issued from September 2026 will be announced in August 2026.

Applicable Conditions

1. Both adults and children will bear the same fuel surcharge. Infants under the age of 2 who do not occupy a seat will be exempt from this charge. Additionally, customers using JAL Mileage Bank international award tickets will also be required to pay the same amount.
2. If a ticket is refunded after purchase, no cancellation fee will apply to the fuel surcharge.
