Online Fitness Festival 2026: A Vital Support for Breast Cancer Survivors
In alignment with the annual Pink Ribbon initiative in October, Renaissance Co., Ltd. is delighted to announce the
Online Fitness Festival 2026. This event is set to take place from
October 6 to October 31, 2026, providing a platform for breast cancer survivors and those undergoing treatment to enhance their overall health and wellness through fitness.
Purpose and Background of the Festival
Statistics indicate that
one in two individuals will be diagnosed with cancer in their lifetime, highlighting the importance of understanding and coping with this disease as a collective societal effort. Among female cancers,
breast cancer is the most common, with a lifetime probability of
10.6% (or 1 in 9) experiences with the disease. Survivors often face various challenges, including reduced physical strength and emotional impact due to the treatment process. Thus, maintaining physical and mental well-being becomes essential for these individuals to lead fulfilling lives.
Renaissance has long been committed to supporting cancer survivors through physical activity, with initiatives such as the establishment of the
Renaissance Exercise Support Center at the Osaka International Cancer Center. Regular exercise holds numerous benefits for cancer patients, including maintenance and recovery of physical strength, alleviation of cancer-related fatigue, and improvement of emotional states and quality of life (QOL).
Particularly after breast cancer surgery, appropriate exercise can prevent and improve shoulder stiffness and range of motion, facilitating recovery in daily activities such as dressing, household chores, and work tasks. The significance of exercise extends beyond mere recovery; it is crucial for reclaiming personal life and social engagement post-treatment.
This festival marks the
fourth installment, aiming to provide survivors with specialized knowledge and techniques in fitness to support their physical and mental health. Our goal is to create opportunities that can lead to improved QOL for attendees.

Importance of the Pink Ribbon Movement
The
Pink Ribbon movement aims to raise awareness about the significance of early detection, diagnosis, and treatment of breast cancer. Originating in the 1980s in the United States, this global initiative seeks to reduce the number of individuals affected by breast cancer.
Renaissance's Commitment to Cancer Patient Support
Renaissance is dedicated not only to disease prevention but also to improving the quality of life for those living with cancer, supporting individuals before, during, and after treatment. There remains a gap in accessible rehabilitation services for cancer patients, which can exacerbate physical declines due to treatment. To address this, the
Renaissance Exercise Support Center was inaugurated in June 2019, situated within the Osaka International Cancer Center. This facility emphasizes the enhancement of QOL for cancer survivors through tailored exercise programs and expert guidance from certified instructors.
Renaissance strives to ensure that every individual battling cancer has access to the support they need to lead empowered, fulfilling lives. For further inquiries regarding this event, please contact the Renaissance Product Development Department, Cancer Rehabilitation Research Team.
