From March 5, Omuraisu-tei, famous for its fluffy omelet rice, will host a limited-time Hokkaido Cuisine Fair. This event will showcase two beloved dishes that have long been cherished in the Eastern Hokkaido region: Spaghetti Katsudon and Eskalop.

Spaghetti Katsudon



One of the highlights of this fair is the Spaghetti Katsudon, which features a hearty serving of spaghetti topped with a crispy pork cutlet (tonkatsu). Priced at 1,380 yen (tax included: 1,518 yen), this dish is a true representation of the culinary culture in Kushiro, known as a popular soul food among locals. The dish is served sizzling on a hot iron plate, showcasing the perfect blend of flavors with a rich meat sauce coating. The combination of the crispy cutlet and the savory sauce offers a satisfying experience that keeps you wanting more with each bite.

Eskalop



The second featured dish is the Eskalop, a staple from Nemuro. For 1,180 yen (tax included: 1,298 yen), this straightforward yet flavorful plate consists of puffed rice topped with a golden fried pork cutlet dressed in a special demi-glace sauce. The simple pairing of ingredients is elevated by the unique flavor of the sauce, making it irresistible to a wide audience, from kids to adults alike. This dish is a perfect representation of local cuisine, showcasing the comforting essence that Hokkaido’s culinary scene embodies.

Starting from March 5 until March 19, diners who order from the fair menu can enjoy a complimentary soft drink with their meal, providing the perfect opportunity to indulge in these delightful dishes.
