SANY Renewable Energy Achieves Key Milestone with Alibunar Wind Project in Serbia

Driving Clean Energy Forward: SANY Renewable Energy's Alibunar Wind Project

In a significant move towards bolstering clean energy initiatives, SANY Renewable Energy has undertaken a strategic project in Alibunar, Serbia. As global focus intensifies on climate action, SANY is not just talking about sustainability; they are putting the commitment into practice with tangible energy solutions.

The Alibunar wind power project, located in eastern Serbia – a region rich in wind resources – marks SANY R.E.'s first investment in the country. With commercial operations expected to commence in 2028, this ambitious undertaking spans a 25-year operational life, with an installed capacity of 168 megawatts. Once fully operational, the wind farm will generate approximately 480 million kilowatt-hours of clean electricity annually.

This project symbolizes SANY's determination to provide renewable energy solutions where they are most essential. Zhou Fugui, president of SANY Renewable Energy, emphasized the importance of this venture, stating that it represents their broader entry into the European energy market. The company aims to collaborate closely with local partners, bringing advanced wind technology and solutions to Serbia to facilitate the country's energy transition and to meet sustainable development goals.

SANY R.E. has positioned itself at the forefront of global renewable solutions, committed to delivering efficient and reliable wind energy equipment alongside comprehensive technical support. The project's success will rely heavily on leveraging SANY's technical advantages for effective advancement and stable operations. Furthermore, a professional local operating and maintenance team will provide ongoing support throughout the entire project cycle.

In aligning with global climate objectives, SANY R.E. is driven by the mission to contribute to the Paris Agreement's aim of limiting global warming to 1.5 degrees Celsius. Just last year, the company reported a remarkable achievement of generating 135.8 billion kilowatt-hours of electricity through its wind turbines, translating to a reduction of nearly 72.87 million tons of CO₂ emissions. This is equivalent to the impact of planting approximately 3.3 billion trees.

Looking ahead, SANY Renewable Energy is dedicated to enhancing the design of environmentally friendly wind turbines, setting an ambitious goal to achieve a 95% recyclability rate for its key models by 2030, compared to 2020 levels.

Through the Alibunar project and future initiatives, SANY R.E. continues to play a vital role in the global energy transition, providing high-quality wind solutions to more countries and regions while collaboratively creating a cleaner energy future.

By taking steps like these, SANY R.E. is not just advancing its corporate strategy but is also participating meaningfully in the fight against climate change. In a world where renewable energy projects are increasingly critical, SANY's efforts signal a bright future for both the company and for sustainable energy practices worldwide.
