From June 3 to 5, Amsterdam hosted the Money20/20 Europe conference, a premier global financial technology event. Among the notable attendees was LianLian Global, a subsidiary of Lianlian DigiTech, known for its innovative digital payment solutions. This partnership aims to redefine cross-border payments by combining the extensive network of LianLian with UnionPay's MoneyExpress service, facilitating swift and efficient remittance solutions for customers.
The strategic alliance is focused on creating seamless, secure, and transparent international fund transfers, particularly for clients sending money to mainland China. In the business-to-business (B2B) segment, the collaboration will delve deeper into areas such as online payment acceptance, digital card issuance, and payment collection services, thereby streamlining cross-border transactions for Chinese enterprises entering international markets.
LianLian Global has established itself as a leader in cross-border payment solutions, catering to 5.9 million clients, including e-commerce platforms and trading companies, across over 100 countries and regions. Their services are designed to offer fast and reliable money transfers, making it easier for businesses and individuals alike to manage their finances internationally.
UnionPay International, with partnerships encompassing over 2,600 institutions worldwide, has enabled card acceptance in 183 countries and regions, with issuance occurring in 84 countries. Their platform, MoneyExpress, specializes in cross-border remittance solutions and serves over 50 countries, including the United States, Japan, Singapore, and the United Kingdom, among others.
