Dai Sei Logistics Embraces EV Technology
Dai Sei Logistics Co., based in Bunkyo, Tokyo, has made a significant move towards sustainable logistics with the introduction of two Mitsubishi Fuso eCanter electric trucks at their Kasukabe Hub Center in Saitama Prefecture. This initiative is part of the company's ongoing efforts to minimize its environmental footprint and innovate within the logistics sector.
The new eCanter trucks were delivered in February 2025, just in time to mark the company's 50th anniversary, a milestone celebrated with the unveiling of a refreshed logo on April 11, 2025. The trucks will be deployed for store deliveries starting from the Kasukabe Hub, which is strategically positioned to optimize delivery routes and timing.
To ensure consistent operation and efficiency, Dai Sei Logistics has installed dedicated charging stations for these electric vehicles at the Kasukabe Hub Center. The fact that the delivery routes are stable and predictable allows the company to effectively tackle one of the major obstacles in adopting electric vehicles: charging infrastructure. This development is seen as an effective strategy for expanding the use of electric vehicles within their fleet.
The two new eCanter trucks are the first to carry the newly designed logo, introducing a fresh image that aligns with the company's vision for a sustainable future. As part of their commitment to innovation and environmental responsibility, Dai Sei Logistics plans to consecutively feature the new logo on all newly delivered vehicles in the upcoming years.
