Celebrating the Release of 'The Witch's Dog': A Unique Exhibition by Kayoko Yoshizawa and Natsumi Teraoka

Celebration of 'The Witch's Dog'

From March 21 to April 19, 2026, the vibrant collaboration between singer-songwriter Kayoko Yoshizawa and illustrator Natsumi Teraoka will come to life at Hobonichi Sundays gallery, located in Shibuya PARCO. This exhibition, celebrating their first picture book titled The Witch's Dog, highlights their shared love for dogs and their creative synergy.

Both creators cherish the presence of dogs in their artistic journeys, making this exhibition a perfect blend of their passions. The project kicked off about a year ago when Yoshizawa expressed her long-standing desire to transform her canine narratives into a children's book. After a delightful exchange of ideas, the book was crafted, featuring Yoshizawa’s heartfelt text alongside Teraoka’s enchanting illustrations.

Exhibition Highlights

The exhibition will showcase all original artworks from The Witch's Dog, marking its first public display. Visitors can also enjoy a variety of activities, including:
  • - New Dog Plushies: A new collection of dog plush toys will be available for purchase. Designed in collaboration, these plushies come in two colors: gray and black.
  • - Live Reading: A captivating reading session by Kayoko Yoshizawa will be offered, enhancing the experience of the displayed artworks.

The exhibition also features a mini café where attendees can enjoy themed treats like the 'Witch's Cream Soda' and specialty donuts, perfect for a refreshing break. The café will offer takeaway options, making it ideal for busy visitors.

In addition, attendees will be able to purchase original merchandise, including tote bags, handkerchiefs, and various fun dog-related items, ensuring a memorable shopping experience.

Special Initiatives

To engage the audience, there will be an interactive exhibition corner displaying dog photos shared by the community using the hashtag #MyDog on the Dokonoko app. This initiative aims to create a communal space where dog lovers can connect and share their beloved pets' stories.

With a ticket price set at 500 yen for entry, this event promises an intimate experience celebrating friendship, creativity, and the heartwarming influence of dogs. Both Yoshizawa and Teraoka continue to inspire many through their respective works, making this exhibition an essential visit for art and dog lovers alike.
