Shohei Ohtani Launches 'Home Safety Project' with Secom
On August 17, 2025, Secom Co., Ltd. will unveil the 'Home Safety Project,' featuring their ambassador, baseball star Shohei Ohtani. The project aims to foster a safe and secure environment for families, especially as Ohtani has recently welcomed a new addition to his family while playing in the United States.
As the first phase of this initiative, Secom will air a new TV commercial on launch day. The advertisement showcases Ohtani reflecting on cherished memories through photographs of his significant belongings. From everyday essentials to the glove that aided his early challenges, these images portray the emotional weight of his journey and the importance of what he holds dear.
The commercial emphasizes Secom’s commitment to safeguarding the 'precious things' in life, resonating with Ohtani's heartwarming tagline: 'I live with my treasured things.' It highlights the importance of home security, ensuring peace of mind for everyone undergoing daily challenges.
For the second phase, coinciding with the commercial launch, Secom will initiate an interactive social media campaign titled '#MyPreciousThings.' Participants are encouraged to post photos of their treasured items on X (formerly Twitter) with the campaign hashtag. This initiative aims to inspire individuals to acknowledge and appreciate their valuables while reinforcing the notion of protecting significant aspects of everyday life. Active participants will have a chance to win exclusive prizes such as a custom key case or 5,000 yen Amazon gift card through a lottery.
Secom is committed to continuously enhancing awareness around safety, with various content and awareness programs planned for the future. Further details on upcoming content will be released soon (stay tuned!)
