Strategic Partnership Between the Banking Academy of Vietnam and Vantage Foundation
On December 16, 2025, the
Banking Academy of Vietnam (BAV) and the
Vantage Foundation officially established a strategic partnership during a ceremonial signing event held at the BAV headquarters in Hanoi. This agreement outlines the framework for collaboration, focusing on enhancing and expanding financial education initiatives aimed at preparing future generations for the workforce in the financial sector.
The ceremony was attended by prominent leaders and representatives from both institutions, including Profs. Pham Thi Hoang Anh, Nguyen Thanh Phuong, Tran Viet Dung, and Le Ngoc Thang from BAV, alongside Adam Siew and Floyd Wang from Vantage, among others. The event commenced with a welcome reception where delegates were introduced, followed by presentations highlighting the missions and strengths of both the BAV and Vantage Foundation, setting the stage for a partnership centered on shared educational priorities.
Prof. Pham Thi Hoang Anh, the acting rector of BAV, delivered the opening remarks, emphasizing the Academy's commitment to collaborating with international partners to enhance the quality and practical relevance of financial education. Adam Siew, the Vice President of Business Development at Vantage, also spoke at the event, stressing the growing importance of education in equipping future professionals for a financial sector that increasingly relies on data and technology.
One of the highlights of the occasion was the formal signing of the Memorandum of Understanding (MoU), which reaffirms the commitment of both institutions to cooperate in various areas including the joint development of educational programs and the mobilization of international expertise and resources. This strategic collaboration aims to promote the value of financial education on a broader scale.
Future Initiatives
The initial concept of the partnership involves collaborating on a one-day training program titled “Financial Data Analysis and Decision Making in the Age of Artificial Intelligence.” This program is tentatively scheduled for late February or early March 2026 and will be conducted in-person at BAV in Hanoi, with provision for online participation from other cities. Participants will receive completion certificates, and the program aims to be executed in conjunction with other leading Vietnamese universities.
The ceremony concluded with a symbolic exchange of flowers and commemorative gifts, a group photo, and a networking session for representatives. The main objective of the event was to make this strategic partnership announcement; operational aspects, including specific courses or student training programs, are yet to be analyzed in detail and will be addressed in future initiatives.
