An Exciting Craftsmanship Experience at Monomachi 2025
From May 23 to 25, 2025, YKK Corporation will participate in the much-anticipated Monomachi 2025 event, a local community gathering organized by the Taito Monomachi Association in Tokyo's Taito area. This year marks the 13th time that YKK has joined this vibrant celebration of manufacturing and creativity.
Monomachi has its roots deep in the history of Tokyo, acting as a hub for manufacturing and wholesaling, particularly in the southern area of Taito, which includes Okachimachi, Kuramae, and Asakusabashi over a 2-kilometer square zone. The event allows visitors to stroll through these historical streets, experiencing the unique charm of both the town and the art of craftsmanship.
At the “Monozukuri-kan by YKK,” festival-goers will have the chance to engage in various hands-on workshops emphasizing YKK’s signature products—zippers and buttons. This year, participants will also see special collaboration items crafted using materials sourced from local Monomachi partner stores. Whether you’re a first-time visitor or a returning attendee, the workshops promise a fun-filled experience.
