Introduction

In a significant move to enhance user convenience for train commuters and travelers, Hankyu Railway has partnered with INFORICH to expand the installation of the popular mobile battery rental service, CHARGESPOT, across its network. Starting from April 22, 2026, a total of 29 stations will feature 37 CHARGESPOT terminals, covering one-third of the entire Hankyu train network.

The Need for Charging Solutions

With the widespread use of smartphones, the demand for charging solutions during outings has been on the rise. This is especially true in train stations, which serve as pivotal junctions for commuting, studying, and tourism. As battery depletion can lead to significant stress for travelers, the introduction of CHARGESPOT aims to alleviate such concerns.

The CHARGESPOT expansion includes the installation of terminals at 14 stations in key areas like Osaka Umeda, Nishinomiya Kitaguchi, Kyoto Kawaramachi, and Suita. Notably, the implementation is designed to provide users with convenient access to mobile battery rentals not only at the ticket gates but also right after purchasing tickets.

The installation period was from April 22 to April 24, 2026, adding various models of CHARGESPOT terminals:
  • - 1 unit with 40 slots
  • - 12 units with 20 slots
  • - 5 units with 10 slots

The expanded list of stations includes:
  • - Hankyu Osaka Umeda Station (two locations)
  • - Hankyu Nishinomiya Kitaguchi Station (two locations)
  • - Hankyu Ashiyagawa Station
  • - Hankyu Imazu Station
  • - Hankyu Sakasegawa Station
  • - Hankyu Mikuni Station

This addition of services at major hubs is intended to encourage travelers to charge their devices effortlessly, thus improving their overall commuting experience.

Benefits for Commuters

By expanding the charging infrastructure at such a significant portion of the railway network, Hankyu Railway and INFORICH aim to eliminate the anxiety related to battery life while on the move.
