Tencent's CarbonX 2.0 Program Unveils 50 Global Finalists
On October 31, 2025, Tencent (0700.HK) revealed the top 50 finalists from its CarbonX Program 2.0, chosen from a diverse pool of over 660 applicants across 54 countries and regions. This initiative focuses on accelerating the next generation of climate technologies, essential for achieving net-zero emissions by 2050. Each finalist is in contention for a share of 200 million RMB (roughly 28 million USD) in catalytic funding, alongside technical resources and expert support to test their solutions in real-world conditions, including vulnerable regions such as Kenya, the Maldives, and Serbia.
