Saito Yuki Appointed as Director to Enhance Wealth Management Services at SmartPlus

SmartPlus Welcomes New Director for Wealth Management

In an exciting development, SmartPlus, a fintech company under the Finatext Group based in Chiyoda, Tokyo, has announced the appointment of Saito Yuki as a new director focused on wealth management. This decision was made during the shareholders' meeting on June 24, 2025.

Background of the Appointment

SmartPlus operates on a financial services model known as Brokerage as a Service (BaaS), which supports businesses in providing their own brokerage services to customers. The company has identified three key areas of focus to drive its growth:
1. Embedded investments by non-financial institutions
2. Direct sales support for asset management firms
3. Support for wealth management services such as those provided by Independent Financial Advisors (IFAs)

Of these, the wealth management service support area is particularly crucial due to the growing market for discretionary investment services that was valued at 19 trillion yen as of March 2025. SmartPlus aims to leverage its dedicated securities trading platform, Digital Wealth Manager Plus (DWM+), to bolster its position within this expanding market.

By appointing Saito, who has successfully led the launch and growth of DWM+ as the project head, SmartPlus aims to further enhance its wealth management services and ensure continued growth in this critical segment.

Profile: Saito Yuki

Saito Yuki graduated from the University of Tokyo with a degree in Finance in March 2016 and began his career at Finatext in April 2016. Over the years, he has accumulated extensive experience and knowledge in the financial sector through various roles including engineer and project manager in developing financial services for major financial institutions. At SmartPlus, he has been pivotal in establishing a hybrid brokerage platform named DWM+ that combines both digital and face-to-face services for financial product intermediaries and IFAs.

Having led the project from inception to growth, Saito has significantly contributed to the evolution of wealth management services in collaboration with partner companies. As of June 2025, he steps into his new role as director.

Message from the New Director

As the head of DWM+, I have dedicated my efforts to expanding our services within the wealth management domain. I believe that by leveraging a hybrid approach combining digital and in-person services, we can offer high-quality asset management solutions to a broader audience, thus contributing to the expansion of the market itself.

In the fiscal year 2025, SmartPlus aims to achieve the growth of current partner companies while attracting new partnerships, particularly in wealth management services focused on IFAs. This directorship offers me an excellent opportunity to utilize my experiences and insights to foster deeper collaboration with our partners. Through further enhancement of wealth management services and an all-encompassing asset management platform centered on discretionary investment, we are committed to realizing our growth strategy and contributing to a world where finance more closely aligns with people's daily lives.
